September 19, 2019 - On September 18, 2019, the President of the United States appointed Larson O'Brien co-founder Robert C. O'Brien as the national security adviser.  Ambassador O’Brien previously served as special envoy for hostage affairs at the State Department.  He also served under the George W. Bush administration at the State Department and the U.S. mission to the U.N., in addition to co-founding Larson O'Brien and serving as the California Managing Partner of Arent Fox LLP.  

In order to assume his role as the national security adviser, Ambassador O'Brien retired from Larson O'Brien LLP effective on September 19, 2019.
